4th Annual Serving Up A Grand Slam Celebrity Tennis Classic

Each year, over 500 sports enthusiasts join the All-Star Children’s Foundation for an amazing three day tennis event to help raise funds to break the cycle of child abuse, neglect and abandonment. The event is presented by the Stanford Group Company and is held at the beautiful Longboat Key Club & Resort, the Foundation’s Official Sponsor.
On Friday, April 17th, the weekend festivities will kick off with the Grand Slam Extravaganza at the Harbourside dining room. Guests will enjoy an elegant dinner, live entertainment and a fabulous silent and live auction.
The action heats up on Saturday and Sunday when over 200 people play in a Mixed Men’s and Women’s Doubles Tennis Tournament led by USPTA Tournament Director, John Woods. This year, the tournament will be held at the brand new, state of the art "Tennis Gardens" at Harbourside and will include a player’s party, Island Barbeque dinner and an awards celebration.
Following the first day of play, participants and guests enjoy a Celebrity Pro Exhibition spearheaded by tennis great Petr Korda. Last year, Jim Courier dazzled guests as he arrived by helicopter to join in on the action. Over the past few years, the All-Star Children’s Foundation has had the support of legendary tennis players like Ivan Lendl, Johan Kriek and Radek Stepanek.
The Foundation is so lucky to have a wonderful committee that works tirelessly to create such a successful event. With their help, we raised over $200,000 this past March for our most vulnerable children.
