How could anyone hurt a child? It's shocking every time we hear another victim's story of abuse, neglect or abandonment. Yet, in the United States, child abuse is the leading cause of death in children under the age of 4. This problem is preventable though, and that's why we started the All-Star Children's Foundation.
The All-Star Children's Foundation (formerly Sarasota Sports Foundation) is determined to break the cycle of child abuse, neglect and abandonment in our community. Thanks to the generosity of many corporate sponsors, donors and volunteers, we have raised over $2,000,000 in the past three years. Our Celebrity Golf Tournament and Tennis Classic are our two largest fundraisers, and participating is a fun way for everyone to help the children in our community that need it most.
Featured Partner In Prevention
The Child Protection Center is one of our major partners in the battle against child abuse. This year, CPC was awarded a $100,000 grant from the All-Star Children's Foundation to help build a new child advocacy center. This center will provide prevention, intervention and treatment programs for abused children.
We couldn't think of a better partner to fulfill our mission than the Child Protection Center and their new Child Advocacy Center. Thank you for all of your hard work!
